Identified Areas of Concern
for Proposed Roadway Improvements The following map and matrix identifies environmental
areas of concern along the roadway corridors that make up the sets of
improvements. The process for identifying these areas of concern involved
gathering information on environmental resources within the area and
inputting it into a geographic information system (GIS). Once this was
complete, reports and maps could be generated that detailed impacts to
each resource. The purpose was to identify areas where significant
engineering measures may be required to avoid environmental concerns. The
numbers associated with each circled area on the map corresponds to the
matrix.
